There's a longstanding tradition of turning to runways and celebs to lead the way when it comes to fashion trends. But, honestly, I'm just done with this culture of being awe-smitten with clothes I'm never going to wear #IRL. I mean, for all of her powerful takeover of the Oscars red carpet in that almost-nude Zuhair Murhad gown, it's not like I can copy Priyanka Chopra's look at work anytime soon. So I decided to shift the lens towards some #IRL stylish people I know—friends, co-workers, friends-of-friends and so. I spy, with my little eye, these are the off duty looks I want to try.
Roshini Kumar, Photographer
All-black-everything is the way to go (when in doubt) but her flawless deployment of tan accessories is what gives it an edge. Point noted, Roshini.
Karishma Shah, Stylist
Slogan sweatshirts are to this season what slogan T-shirts were to the '90s. My co-worker Karishma, never the one to shy away from excess, makes a statement (or three) when she lets her outfits do all the talking for her.

White-on-white is a good thing. Especially when you team it up with black sneakers. We hear you, Jishma.
Rajyashri Goody, Curator
One trend we've learnt from Rajyashri is that trends are passe. She is above them and so should you be. Here she's teamed traditional shirts from Ghana with skinnies.
Shreesha Shetty, Jewellery Designer
Dressing up is fun, all right and weekends or not sometimes putting on your ladylike charm is what will save the day. But the take back here is to slip your feet in comfy pool sliders so you can set the balance right.
