What makes a coffee so super?
Coffee is a healthy drink to begin with, unless you’re drinking a standard American-styled latte that’s loaded with creamers, syrups and sugar. To take it up a notch and make it into a super blend, all it takes is adding super foods like chia and flaxseeds, or turmeric and maca powder or even healthy fats like ghee and coconut oil.
Sounds like an oddball combination, we’ll agree. And yes, expect it to taste like coffee and a bunch of other things, because it is what it is. The key is balancing your super foods in a way that will please your taste buds. For instance, a turmeric coffee latte doesn’t sound half as bad. In fact, it's spiced, comforting and has that caffeine kick. Here’s the recipe for your first super coffee of the year with a turmeric twist.
