If you don’t have one already, now is the best time to lay your hands on the PS4. Not only is it cheaper than ever, it now comes with way more power under the hood. Thanks to the unlocked seventh of the eight-cored processor that will help developers build kick-ass games this year. Stay indoors because we’re gonna have a happy gaming year ahead with exclusives like ‘Detroit’ and ‘The Last Guardian’ coming our way. The PS4 may not be completely backwards compatible but there are some PS2 and PS3 classics like ‘Rogue Galaxy’ and ‘GTA:Vice City’ ready to play on your new, mean machine. Or on your PS Vita because you can now play remotely too! And if you’re not down with that, we’ve got two words for you: PlayStation VR (Ok, that’s technically four words but shush). Sony’s newest virtual reality headset is coming soon this year in 2016 with 50 games officially announced. It’s pretty awesome and needs nothing but the soon to be yours PlayStation 4.
While I love PC gaming, I enjoy having a couch setup where anyone can grab a controller and join in. Aside from a few Sony exclusives Resogun and Bloodborne, I also like the PSN+ subscription service, which provides at least 2 new games every month. One of those games was Rocket League and it was one of my favourite games of 2015. I’m also looking forward to the new Ratchet and Clank remake, and Persona 5.
