The term flagship smartphone is starting to get skewed, especially when devices costing less than half as much are offering top grade features and performance. I am talking about smartphones in the Rs 20,000- Rs 30,000 bracket, which offer maximum bang for the buck.
LG V20 64GB
The first smartphone on this list is the impressive LG V20. This phone has an eye-popping 5.7-inch screen that tops out at 2560 x 1440 pixels. That means you get an overall 513 ppi pixel density, which is superb if you like crisp image quality. It does well with its number crunching too, thanks to the Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 Quad-core processor. I was able to jump through apps without a fuss, with only the occasional lag, when I had a dozen of them open while gaming. The rear camera is made up of a dual 16-MP (f/1.8) + 8-MP (f/2.4) cameras that support laser autofocus, OIS and dual-LED flash. The front camera is a 5-MP shooter. While this phone may sport only 64GB of on-board storage, you can expand it up to 2TB by the microSD card slot.

Honor 8 32GB
This one is another versatile offering from the Honor stable, as it offers the best of all worlds. I love that reflective glass design and the fact that the rear cameras on the Honor 8 are placed in a bump-free way. The phone is offered with Android Marshmallow v6.0 but you can upgrade it to Nougat. I also love the rear mounted fingerprint scanner, though it may not be the fastest when it comes to unlocking. An octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor takes care of all the number crunching and it does a pretty good job. The 4GB RAM helps run things smoothly as I switch from editing videos to playing games to browsing. The Honor 8 is a star, if you love taking a lot of pictures. There are two cameras on the rear with specific jobs. One of them shoots in full colour while the other in monochrome. The wizardry on the inside then combines these images to give you a jaw-dropping shot. Finally, the 9V/2A fast charging technology juices your phone to 47% with only 30 minutes of charging.

Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro 64 GB
This is one of my favourite picks within this list. The Galaxy C9 Pro ticks off all the right things and offers a smartphone that impresses both on the features and performance front. Offered in a lovely metal frame, the C9 Pro looks neat from all angles. It feels comfortable to hold regardless of its 189g weight. I am also really impressed with its 16-MP+16-MP front and rear cameras. Images appear sharp in daylight shots and even as the light dies down. The 6GB RAM on the inside keeps things running along nicely. The Octa-core Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 653 processor lets you keep multiple apps open without a fuss. The good bit is that even after an entire day of work and play on the C9 Pro, you will still be left with enough juice thanks to the 4000mAh battery. Plus, it has a USB Type-C charging slot, which means your phone will get charged quicker than most.
