February 2020 was a very active month for the world of smartphones. Some of the most anticipated devices and brand launches happened last month. One of the biggest trends was the launch of multiple mainstream phones with support for 5G networks. However, there were a lot of unique features being sported as well. Here are some of the most significant smartphone launches from last month.

Samsung Galaxy S20 series

Samsung’s annual refresh of its flagship Galaxy S range brought us the Galaxy S20 series. With the S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra, the entire series boasts of some impressive specifications. From support for 5G, 8K recording and a 120Hz display across the board, to the much talked about 100x Space Zoom on the Galaxy S20 Ultra, these smartphones have made the 2020 flagship scene a lot more exciting.

Realme X50 Pro 5G

A first for Realme, the X50 Pro added 5G to the tech company’s arsenal. Packing a Snapdragon 865, the phone comes with great camera chops and brings the new Super Dart charging that tops up the 4200mAh battery in 35 mins. Interestingly, the company has also spoken of its plans to become a complete lifestyle brand in 2020, starting with the launch of a fitness band on March 5th.

Realme X50 Pro

Vivo Z6 5G

Smartphone manufacturer Vivo has released the next in its Z series with the Z6, which comes with support for 5G networks thanks to the Snapdragon 765G processor. The phone comes with a 6.57" 20:9 display of 2400x1080 pixel resolution, with a punch-hole camera design. It also boasts of ‘PC Grade’ liquid cooling and a massive heat sink. Currently, the device is available in China.

Vivo Z6 5G

LG V60 ThinQ 5G

One of the biggest highlights of the LG V60 ThinQ 5G beyond its flagship specs is the hi-fi headphone jack that has become the hallmark of LG smartphones. Additionally, it comes with a Dual Screen case that adds a display to the phone whenever you snap the accessory onto the main body. Powered by the Snapdragon 865, the phone is also capable of supporting 5G.

LG V60 ThinQ

Poco X2

After a long wait and an announcement of its own separate brand identity, Poco has finally launched its second smartphone with the Poco X2. Powered by the Snapdragon 730G, the mid-ranger also has the 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor in its camera. Additionally, it is the only phone at its range to have a 120Hz refresh rate on its display.

In terms of specifications, the iQoo 3 is quite like the Realme X50 Pro. It does offer a high-brightness display and a 180Hz Super Touch Response rate that makes it great for gaming. Additionally, features like Monster Touch Buttons and 4D Game Vibration cement its place as a smartphone for gamers.
