It’s (almost) that time of the year when mobile enthusiasts flock to Barcelona. They will be arriving for the biggest mobile show of the year. MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018 kicks off on February 26, and runs through to March 1. On these four days, big brands will unveil some of the biggest phones of the year. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus might not have debuted at MWC 2017, but it’s official that the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be unveiled here this year. Both these Samsung flagships are very likely to debut the Snapdragon 845 chipset.


There’s definite news that Sony is up to something big and new this year, but this electronics giant has managed to keep it all hush-hush. If rumours are to be believed, Sony is going to unveil a redesigned flagship smartphone that may adopt the 18:9 display. This phone could be a prototype of the Xperia XZ2.


It’s confirmed that we’ll be seeing the new and refreshed version of the LG V30 at MWC 2018. The major upgrade in this phone with be the AI integration and an improved camera. LG has also announced that it will reveal its new K8 and K10 series with enhanced features like that of any premium flagship.


Nokia made its new and improved presence exactly one year ago at MWC, and this year they’re returning to the event with a new set of launches. These include the much-awaited Nokia 7 and Nokia 7 Plus that might feature a bezel-less display, the Nokia 8 Pro and the new Nokia 3310 (4G) variant. Asus might revive their old Zenfone 5 series, which will be a good budget/mid-range phone that’s expected to feature a quad camera setup and a bezel-less display.


At CES 2018, BlackBerry announced that it will be releasing at least two new smartphones this year. Rumour has it that this might happen at MWC. These phones could be the updated sequels to the BlackBerry KEYone and PRIV.

Other phones
