Watches, who doesn't love wearing one? From the very classic to the modern, each has its own character. But if you are the one who loves a heady mix of class and future tech, this new Michael Kors Access Bradshaw smartwatch is just the thing you should consider buying.
Gimme some bling
For starters, it looks fabulous in all of the finishes it is offered in. I managed to get my hands on the Gold finish and it instantly grows on you. The build is absolutely premium, the kind you would expect from a brand like Michael Kors and I like that fact that it has a nice bit of weight to it. However this watch is not only about looks, it sports water and dust resistance too and runs Android Wear out of the box.
The watch is supremely comfortable to wear, but then I realised it needed to be charged, a process that does take a bit of time. You have to charge it via the wireless charger by placing it under the watch. Once you are through with that, you can look forward to having a bit of fun with the watch specific Android Wear experience.
The 1.4in circular display is crisp with its 360 x 290 pixel resolution and the touchscreen itself is very responsive. The display is bright enough to easily read in bright sunlight and even when the watch is in it’s always on mode, tilting the wrist towards you invokes the screen, yet again easily readable. The fun bit starts with the choosing of the watch faces and there is a truckload of it to pick from. What's more, you can even customise each of them.

You can pair the watch both with your Android smartphone and iPhone, after which notifications are beamed swiftly to your wrist. These include Whatsapp notifications, text messages, incoming calls, emails and more. You can turn on sound notifications or simply use the vibration bit to know when you are being pinged. Notification cards appear at the bottom of the display and if you tap it, it will unveil more info.
Apart from the notifications bit, the Access smartwatch is adept with handling other apps including maps and you can even control your music. You can also activate voice control by croaking "OK Google" and command the watch to show your upcoming scheduled meetings, apart from other things. If you thought that was all think again. Because this watch also doubles up as a fitness tracker. It doesn't sport a heart rate monitor but it can count the number of steps you take.
I am truly impressed with Michael Kors latest offering because it manages to give you the right mix of tech with the uber cool factor. It also makes a great gifting option for the wife, girlfriend or grandma!
