Founded in 1966 in Los Angeles, by Swiss Brothers, Art and Ernie Brunner, K Swiss shoes were initially inspired by the game of tennis. The brothers imported patented leather shoes from the Swiss manufacturer named Swiss Kuenzli and hence the name K-Swiss came into being. As avid skiers, they took inspiration from leather ski-boots and created the first all-leather tennis shoe.
