So right from crispy golden french fries to vegetables and from chicken wings to brownies, an air fryer can help decrease your fat intake and improve your diet. So, if you’ve already got your hands on one, read ahead to find some tips and tricks on how to make the best of your air fryer.
Cook frozen foods
Believe it or not, the air fryer turns out to be an even better option than your microwave to heat frozen food. It gives the food crispiness that you just won’t be able to get in a microwave. So, the next time you’re making tater tots or pizza pockets, try using an air fryer to see the difference for yourself!
Keep it dry
While cooking with an air dryer, it’s best to keep your food as dry as possible. Food that is marinated is susceptible to being splattered inside the fryer and will also create excess smoke. Hence, it’s best to pat your food dry before using an air fryer.
Don’t crowd the air fryer
An air dryer makes use of circulating hot air to fry food. Overcrowding the container with a lot of food will not give the best results. It’s always recommended to give space to the food inside the fryer so they’re perfectly fried, each time.
Spray a bit of oil
Before cooking, it’s recommended to use a cooking oil spray on the food. This will ensure that the food doesn’t stick to the base while being fried.
Bake a brownie or make a boiled egg
The air fryer is not only suitable for fried food, but it also comes in handy to make a variety of other dishes. For instance, you could boil an egg without any water in an air fryer! Simply place the egg, switch on the air fryer and peel it after taking it out. In the same manner, you can also bake brownies with it. Variety is the spice of life and the air fryer wants you to help experience it all!
For best frying results, shake food like fries and chips around every 5-10 minutes. This will prevent them from compressing and gives even treatment to all.
