Not until long ago, feminism was a word that female celebrities would shy away from in the urge to avoid getting into any controversies on the subject. Looks like the tide has changed as most leading ladies of b-town choose to embrace the word and its ideals while they also proudly sport it on their tees. We’ve noticed a number of Bollywood celebrities sporting tees with feminist-positive quotes and we couldn’t be happier. Is it going to become the next big fashion trend? Well, we’ll have to wait and watch for that, but for now take a look at all the celebrities who dared to wear it.
Anushka Sharma was one of the few who didn’t shy away from the word feminism when it first became a rage. She sported this Dior tee with the slogan, “We should all be feminists” first for a shoot of Vogue India where she featured on the cover and then at an outing. Looks like she totally believed in what she wore.
Alia Bhatt who initially was criticized for her stance on feminism recently sported this Gaurav Gupta Official tee which read, “F For Feminist” and totally rocked it. Her appearance in a feminist slogan tee also made her stance on the subject clear for one and all. Way to go girl.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
On the occasion of Women’s Day, Shilpa Shetty Kundra posted a photo wearing a pastel blue sweatshirt which read ‘Feminist’ in caps. She not only proclaimed to be a feminism but also broke another stereotype which says blue is for boys and pink is for girls. The caption on this photo read, “Happy women’s day all you lovely ladies…not needed to say, celebrate yourself every day.” Great way of putting it across, must say.
One of Deepika’s airport looks that was much talked about was the one where she sported a black tee which read, “The force is female”. Heading straight out of the airport looking her stylish best, Deepika’s stance on feminism and her style statement were both appreciated.

Sonakshi Sinha recently did a photo shoot for Elle India where she teamed up with top Indian designers to sport fierce slogans on tee. One of the tees fromt his photo-series was on feminism and we quite loved it.
Swara Bhaskar, Konkana Sen Sharma And Sayani Gupta
In a special interview with Cosmopolitan India, Swara Bhaskar too sported a feminist tee which was styled on a cute little skirt and had Swara looked like a proud follower of the movement. She’s one actress who’s made her stance on the subject very clear, time and again. Kudos, girl.
The same series of the magazine also features actresses Konkana Sen Sharma and Sayani Gupta sport the same tees styled differently each time while the actresses poured their heart out on the concept and what it means to them.
