Santoshi Shetty

Santoshi has carved a niche in the industry with her signature style. A few scrolls on her Insta page and you’re clued in to her signature style - bodycon dresses and bralettes. Read on to know more about her personal party style and what she plans to wear this New Year’s Eve.

#1 What is your style this party season?

This party season I'd like to keep it minimal but edgy. So I'd go for a pair of slouchy jeans and cowboy or snake print boots. Bold and chunky boots paired with a front knot bralette or just a sequined top would do the trick. For me, comfort is a necessity so I also like slipping into simple singlet bodycon midis.

#2 What are you planning on wearing on New Year’s eve?

Since its New Year’s Eve, sequin would be a go-to for me.

#3 Any specific colour or silhouette that you want to try out this time?

I am always open to experimenting with colours but black is my favourite. Bronze is my second go-to. In terms of silhouettes, high-waist and a crop or just throwing on a blazer with thigh high boots or sleek heels works. It totally depends on where I'm headed to.

#4 would you want to style it?

If the dress is too simple, I'd add like an embellished belt. I am not really a jewellery person but I'd definitely experiment with earrings. The city girls bag is my classic go-to on most days which is a small shoulder bag. So would probably just pick one of those.

 Sarang Patil

One of the leading men’s fashion bloggers, Sarang Patil has made a strong impact with his sartorial choices. A perfect blend of classic and contemporary is what he prefers. His fashion-focused Instagram page shows off his suave style put together with neutral hues, classic silhouettes and smart layering with a dash of surprise. We chatted with him about his party style for the year and here’s what he revealed.

#1 What is your style this party season?

Anything with touch of bling. Also, don’t forget to experiment with colours, new fabrics and prints.  It’s always good to try out seasonal trends.

#2 What are you planning on wearing on New Year’s Eve?

A classic tuxedo paired with an eye-catching ruffled shirt and bow tie. To complete the look, I will style it with classic suede loafers.

#3 Any specific colour or silhouette that you want to try out this time?

Satin is in this season for menswear. From luxury brands to street wear, everyone has been experimenting with it for a while so I would love to pick my outfit, which goes with this trend. In menswear, the colour palette is not restricted to blues and blacks anymore. We can experiment with hues of pink and purple, since it has been spotted on many menswear runways with different textures and patterns. I will pair my frill tuxedo shirt with cropped fit black classic trousers along with a lavender colour satin blazer. To complete the lookI will add a velvet bow tie and suede loafers. You can experiment with little colour just like I did in my look but at the same time keep it classy and masculine.

#4 How would you want to style it?

I want to style it in a minimalistic manner since New Year’s evening is all about meeting your loved ones and celebrating with them. Any accessory that does not restrict your movement would be an ideal choice.  My pick would be a comfortable cardholder with classy finish. To keep it classy, I would choose loafers over sneakers this party season. A classic wristwatch and minimalistic rings would add final touches to my look.
