Let’s face it. Every time someone says ethnic wear, you find yourself visualising sari-clad bejewelled aunties from daily soap operas who sleep and wake up with a five inch thick layer of foundation on their faces. We are a generation of non-conformists. We don’t want to wear a bindi with a shirt dress, a dupatta is anywhere but pleated and draped neatly on our shoulders and we nonchalantly replace our denim with a Patiala salwar every now and then. We feel you, you li’l rebel.
