Everybody deserves a little loving on Valentine’s Day and it gets even better when it’s served to you in a cocktail glass. Whether you’re spending this day of love with your SO or you’re home alone treating yourself, these cocktail recipes will make this special day, extra special. We got popular mixologist, Binny Dhadwal to share his favourite cocktail recipes that will flirt with your palette. Red Champagne

red champagne Dhadwal says that love is a mixture of sweet and sour experiences. A cocktail which is red depicts sweetness with strawberry, and vodka and champagne adds the sourness to provide a balance, just like how you need it in love! Since the colour is red you could make it for your loved one or someone you'd want to flirt with!

Ingredients:

120ml Champagne 4-5 Fresh strawberries or strawberry syrup Few drops vodka 3 - 4 Ice cubes  

Method: (Shaken)

Take a shaker, add ice cubes. Add blended strawberry or strawberry syrup and vodka drops, and shake well. Take a champagne flute and pour champagne in it and keep aside. Pour the mixture from the shaker gently in the champagne glass. Garnish with strawberries.  

Side Car

side car Dhadwal add that Side Car has a lot of citrus flavours to it. It's also yellow, a colour that represent friendship, which makes this cocktail a good drink to share with friends or a new fling on Valentine’ Day.

Ingredients:

45ml Brandy 15ml Cointreau 5ml Sweet lime juice 5-10ml Sugar syrup 1 Orange slice  

​Method: (Stirred)​

Take a shaker and add ice cubes. Pour in all the ingredients and shake well. Pour it into a cocktail glass and garnish with orange slice.  

Pina Colada

Pina colada According to Dhadwal, this is one cocktail that everyone can enjoy! There are different flavours of rum, pineapple and vanilla ice cream. It makes for a perfect drink for any occasion, including Valentine’s Day! The colour is white which is peaceful, one could share it with friends and enjoy it alone too!

Ingredients:

50ml Bacardi rum 10ml Malibu 150ml Pineapple juice 1tsp Fresh cream 1tsp Vanilla ice cream 6 – 8 Ice cubes Pineapple slice  

Method: (Shaken)

Take a cocktail shaker and fill with 3-4 ice cubes. Pour in all the ingredients and shake well. Take a long glass and add 2-3 ice cubes. Pour the concoction into the glass and garnish with pineapple.
