3 appliances your kitchen is incomplete without…
I feel for any kitchen, having a diamond blender, a planetary mixer and a stick blender is a MUST. The diamond blender is extremely convenient when you have to squash, crush, stir, chop, mix, puree or liquefy anything from hot to cold food items. Similarly, a stick blender comes extremely handy in a busy kitchen. The planetary mixer, on the other hand, is a blessing in disguise considering how easy life becomes when you have to bake anything from a simple cookie to any bread!
You favourite cooking style is…
Asian. It’s my ultimate favourite! Just the idea of making a wok or stir-fry feels like an adrenaline rush. The wide variety of flavours that Asian cuisine offers adds up to the sheer pleasure of cooking it!
Comfort food you whip up quickly in your kitchen…
Dal chawal. Simple Food = Ultimate Comfort Food.
Your new favourite kitchen appliance…
Nutriblend Jar. This blender and grinder is the ultimate saviour as it is super quick and super easy to use. It also extracts every last bit of nutrients that you can derive from any food item in the most digestible manner. If this isn't kitchen appliance goals, I don't know what is!
The most underused kitchen appliance is…
I feel the food processor is so underrated in Indian households. It is specially of great use for people who cook from time to time and for those who love eating salads or food items that require a lot of chopping, shredding, mincing and slicing! Trust me, a good food processor is the ultimate saviour.
Cooking in ovens vs cooking in microwaves - you prefer…
Cooking in ovens. The microwave is amazing when it comes to quickly reheating food, rather than cooking from the scratch. An oven on the other hand, will ensure that food is cooked evenly while restoring the juices within food items.
One kitchen appliance hack you live by…
Dry leftover herbs in a microwave in increments of 10-15 seconds to dehydrate them, until they dry enough to crumble when bent.
