And this series shows you that you’re not alone - part emotional drama and part fashion show, Say Yes To The Dress features would-be brides struggling to find that elusive dress that will make them look like a princess on their big day. The show takes you into Kleinfeld’s Bridal in Manhattan, New York, one of the world’s premier bridal salons, as would-be brides grapple with weight and body image concerns, advice from friends and family, and the challenge of staying in budget.

Everyone loves makeover. And Get The Look does this with aplomb. Join host Ambika Anand, also the editor-in--chief of fashion at NDTV Good Times, as she picks 13 girls from the length and breadth of the country to get a complete makeover. From clothes and make-up to beauty and styling advice, the girls get groomed and get a bigtime confidence boost. This is also the longest-running fashion makeover series on Indian television, and winner of the best lifestyle and fashion show at the Indian Telly Awards, 2010.

Much like Sex and the City and Gossip Girl, this American teen drama series is well-known worldwide for its leading ladies’ sartorial choices. The plot has nothing to do with fashion – it follows the life of four teenage girls from Rosewood, Pennsylvania, whose friendship affected after the murder of their friend. However, the outfits worn by the girls, from a skirt made of ties to foil pants, have made their way to many a lust list.

Your Style In His Hands

Would you leave your closet choices in the hands of your man? That’s exactly what the premise of this British reality show is. Hosted by model Lisa Snowdon, the show tackles couples who are going through a rough patch fashion-wise and spruce them up by giving the husbands/boyfriends £5,000 (approx. Rs 4 lakh) to shop for their ladies. Of course, Lisa is there to help as the men pick out clothes, shoes and handbags to boost their other half’s confidence. Says Lisa about the show, “The underlying connection is love and trying to get their partners to feel good about themselves again." We’re surely on board with that!

Band Baaja Bride
